"Drivers From Other Countries. Nonresident drivers over the age of 16 years who have a valid driver's license issued by their home country may operate motor vehicles upon the highways of this State when their license is in their immediate possession. Sixty days after the nonresident driver becomes a Delaware resident, he/she must apply for a Delaware driver's license. Drivers from other countries may retain their foreign licenses. All drivers licensed in other countries must pass both the written and road test. Exception: Delaware has a re[beeep]rocity agreement with Germany thereby exempting these drivers from the written and road tests"

Czyli: wnioskujac o wydanie prawa jazdy stanu Delaware musisz przejsc egzamin pisemny i ustny, jedynie Niemcy zwolnieni sa z tego obowiazku (obustronna umowa). Samo prawo jazdy nalezy wyrobic w przeciagu 60 dni od momentu, w ktorym stajesz sie mieszkancem Delaware.

Pozdrawiam.

Nevada:

"Non U.S. Citizens

Nevada does not issue licenses or ID cards to tourists. Other Non U.S. citizens may, or may not, be eligible depending on their specific immigration status. You must have one of the immigration documents listed above under Proof of Identity. Nevada does not accept foreign driver licenses, foreign birth certificates, matricular consular cards, border crossing cards or foreign passports without an I-94 Arrival-Departure Record..

Non U.S. Citizens who have applied for, but not received, a Social Security number may attest to this on the driver license application. They are not required to provide proof of a Social Security number.

If you have never been licensed in the United States, you will have to take vision, written and driving skills tests"

Zrodlo: http://www.dmvnv.com/dlresidency.htm#Non

Wsrod "Proof of identity" wymieniony jest "Arrival-Departure Record (I-94) with Visa or Passport"

Przydatna rzecz - osoby bez SSNu (ktore o niego juz wnioskowaly) moga wnioskowac o wydanie prawa jazdy.

California:

"If you have a license from another country, you will be required to take a driving test. If you have a license from another state, the driving test can be waived.

You have three chances to pass the driving test. If you fail, you may practice for a while, then make another appointment. There is no waiting period, but you must make an appointment. If you fail to successfully complete the driving test on the first attempt, you must pay a $5 fee for each additional driving test that is administered under an application for an original or renewal driver license.

After you pass your driving test you will be issued an interim license valid for 60 days until you receive your new photo license in the mail."

"If you have a license from another state, the driving test can be waived".

Pistol: "Foreign drivers may use their native driver licenses as proof of driving experience if their countries are members of the United Nations Convention on Road Traffic, and if the applicants have their licenses translated into English by a consulate or an MVC approved translator or an International Driver License issued by there country"

Ale kraje, ktore podpisaly ta umowe to:

"United States of America, Austria, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, France, India, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, the Philippines, Sweden, Switzerland, the Union of South Africa, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Yugoslavia, and the said related protocol was signed during that same period by the respective plenipotentiaries of the United States of America, Belgium, Denmark, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, France, India, Italy, Lebanon, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, the Philippines, Sweden, Switzerland, the Union of South Africa, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland"

Zrodlo: http://www.6towns.com/driving/UNconv.html

Pozdr.
