The Wave aside, there are a lot of incredible trails in this area that, though permits are required - they can be easily obtained.

These trace fossils are believed to be made by a few species such as Eubrontes, Grallator, Coelophysis kayentakatae, and Dilophosaurus wetherilli.According to the Navajo guide I spoke with, the Navajo Legend goes, the tracks were left behind from a great battle with the Navajo Hero Twins and giant monsters. There was so much blood from this battle that it stained the land red."
